he Stuart Hotel Derby
Great location for city centre and train station. For the price this was definitely value for money and so I do not need to go into any more detail. I will stay there again.

unhappy mis sold hotel room
I booked a double bed standard room, i got given a small double room which is advertised cheaper on the website so i paid more money for no reason, which is theft. The room it self was cold, turned on the heating which never turned on, after reading the reviews i booked this property i could have stayed else where.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff did everything they could to accomodate our needs. The small number of staff which are not off due to covid are doing a great job. Special thank you to the guy on the reception

andy htel, great staff
Really helpful staff, especially in these difficult times. We got our room upgraded to a larger one as we were staying five nights, nice touch. We've stayed here before and the onsite parking and closeness to the city centre are positives. Only downside was the shower over the bath as getting in and out of the slippery bath felt a risk.

This hotel needs updating, the decor is like something from the 1990's and for that reason it's a depressing place to stay, I would not stay there again

Someone had a good time, but IT WAS NOT ME
This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was absolutely filthy, the curtains were broken, it was boiling at night (I feel the cold) but I couldn't open the window as it was on the ground floor and overlooked a giant bin which someone could have used to climb into my room and the area isn't nice! As for the hairs in the bathroom, I can confirm they are not mine! I have no words for the mouldy shower curtain! Don't even get me started on the suspicious white stain on the chair, I suppose someone had a good time and it certainly wasn't me. There was the argument between two guests at 2am outside my door. Although not technically the hotels fault my room was right by reception so I'm sure the staff would have heard it and so could have told them to be quiet but instead I had to do it. The restaurant staff were exceptionally rude. When asked if they were going to put any more food out as there was hardly anything left, I was told to wait. I ordered a cooked breakfast against my better judgement, totally the wrong thing turned up. I took one look and decided that I valued my life way too much to eat it! When we went to our meeting the following morning our client commented that she was surprised we hadn't left in a body bag as it's got such a bad reputation. The only saving grace is that they had alcohol hand gel, but that is probably to protect their guests from the array of stuff they could potentially catch from entering their hotel from hell!
