    Rude bar man . !!!!

Staff were generally friendly and welcoming, however the man in the bar was rude and unfriendly- not one smile all evening and no certainly no conversation ! The girl on reception seemed “too busy “ to listen to residents requests etc,.. the girl in the bar on our 2nd nights stay was lovely ! Fun, attentive , smiling and great people skills ! Overall , we had a reasonable stay, but would not return. Windows would not open and paintwork was peeling . Needs some TLC.

Ok stay, would not choose again

We chose this hotel based on price and what seemed like a good location. We were disappointed in how far we actually were from any attractions or good restaurant options. The service here was not stellar either. We were not with a tour group and felt like all of the hotel resources were dedicated to catering to the tour groups there. The rooms are old and need some updating.

Not one level spot in room 141

Like the hotel, older of course. Really really big for your busses. Great location. Nice walk to the water. Breakfast was average, good, just average. Our room was uneven, the bed by the window tilted towards the middle of the floor, the bathroom floor and shower tilted toward the room door, it was crazy. Maybe I should have drank to make it all good

This building is old with character. Uneven floors and walls, old charm and you can hear neighbors more than in a new modern hotel. Yet this is exactly what I wanted. Room with water view with no upcharge. Perfect. Simple yet nice and roomy restaurant, lounge and bar as well.

Nice location but seemed expensive for a hotel that really needs refreshing.

    Great location, mediocre Hotel

The location of the Hotel is amazing, with great views across water, however I have never paid so much for what I would describe as a mediocre Hotel, I guess I am paying for the location. On arrival at 7.45pm i had to argue quite forcefully to get a table for one in the restaurant, as it was apparently full, it certainly didn't look full from where i was sat. The hotel is geared up for coach parties, and not individuals. I travel to Skye 4 times a year on business, next time i will try somewhere else.

    Not very good ☹️

The staff and room was ok, the shower in our room only trickled with water with no pressure either, so couldn’t have one before we left in the morning and the lady on reception didn’t seem bothered at all. The extractor fan in the bathroom went on for ages and could hear even with the door shut. The long corridors was like walking through a sauna, was way too hot, felt very sickly by the time we got to our room. The staff doing breakfast were very helpful and it was very good. as way too expensive for what we got, wouldn’t recommend.

Hotel was perfect for an overnight stop-off on our tour of the west highlands. The breakfast was lovely and the bar and public areas really nice. The bedroom was a little bit tired looking but beds were comfortable, very clean and shower was nice and hot.

This is the only place that had a room for our dates of stay. After reading other's reviews, I was very worried about what we were getting into. We stayed in Room 241, which is a twin room. Our view was of water and sail boats! Yes, it's old and tired but our stay was very comfortable. Our room and bathroom were both spacious, beds comfortable. Great shower, a wonderful breakfast and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Kyleakin is a neat little town, just across the Skye bridge.
