The room was somewhat charming and the view was spectacular, but hair on the bathroom floor (a lot of it) and dry urine on the toilet seat ensured that I would never return. Clearly, the toilet and floor had been disregarded by the housekeeping staff. The hotel has a lot of potential, but unfortunately also has a lot of neglect.

Bad surprise
Reception has no bag room, so if you arrive early they tell you to drop your bags on the floor next a sofa where anyone can steal your bags. When I booked I was told it’s the Bayview Hotel but when I arrived I was informed that my reservation is with OcenView which is a hike uphill from where Bayview is. Rooms were big but beds were not, I had the impression I was getting 2 queen size beds for 4 people but ended up getting double beds. Even though this property is called OceanView, the rooms have no view to the ocean, all you see is the parking lot!!!

The Bayview does not have any standard rooms so we were actually booked at the ocean view which looks nothing like the picture and is quite run down on the outside. It is still a great location just not what I was expecting.

Maybe they should close while they do massive reno
Loud construction during the day, and my room and the hallway was filled with construction dust at night.

Watch our for bait n switch!!!
Bait and switched!!! I booked the better of the 2 hotels—Oceanview (Bayview West) and the day after I couldn’t cancel without penalty, they switched our booking to the older Bayview East. The room was relatively clean. Beds were hard. Room had a decent view (6th floor), but was hella noisy. It’s on a road which links 2 of the main roads on Guam. Didn’t matter what time of day or night—noisy!!! The Oceanview (Bayview West) is considerably off the main road and directly faces the ocean with better everything. We were there for 3 nights—had to have them fix the drain in the shower twice. Staff was nice and accommodating, but the building is under renovation. Construction is not supposed to start until 0900 (until 1800), but it was woke up one morning at 0710 with a construction truck perpetually in reverse—beep, beep, beep, beep!!! The hotel is functional and cheap, but watch the bait and switch since there are 2 buildings—try to book the Oceanview (West) building.

A night at the Bayview
I love the hotel except for the parking. It was just too far from the building. The room was fantastic. The room before me, however, was pretty noisy for a few hours Saturday night. I love that the room had coffee, iron & iron board. I love the courtyard/fountain view.

Great service, room for improvements
Service was excellent. Everyone was kind and friendly. Room was comfy and clean. Air conditioning can’t be turned off or controlled (there wasn’t proper instructions anywhere) so I was freezing. But when I called in about this, they sent someone and sorted it straight away. Still couldn’t turn it off though. Upon arrival I was asked cash deposit of $100, which I thought was too much especially in cash. Perhaps there was a miscommunication when collecting deposit - maybe this should be told in a clearer way. Also it could be much less. It’s usually $20. Pool wasn’t sunny enough so I went to the beach instead. Amenities such as toothbrushes, razors should be already set up in the room.

not very happy
was under renovation, wifi access in my room was almost non-existent and couldn't do much work in room, some front desk staff were not so helpful
