Great value hotel
Basic hotel, but more than adequate for a short city break. Very nice breakfast buffet.

Not a 3-star hotel
This hotel is in a great location if you're arriving in Rome by the Termini train station. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel for any other reason. The rooms are clean but, they're also dark and dated. The water in the shower would not stay at one temperature, the breakfast was just so-so and there are no English stations on the television. On the bright side, the staff was helpful and able to answer most of my questions.

Good base for exploring Rome
Hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Termini station and makes a good base for exploring Rome. Reception desk staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful . The rooms were comfortable enough and clean but very tired and in need of some TLC and renovation. We had 2 rooms booked and in my room the bathroom could certainly have done with a complete makeover-looked like it hadn't been touched for many years, although the shower worked well. In the other room the bathroom was in better condition but the shower wouldn't stay at a constant temperature. The hotel has a bar/terrace which you would have expected to be open in the evenings for a quick nightcap before retiring, but alas this wasn't the case. Breakfast was adequate, not very exciting but just about ok.

Great place to stay
Great location, near railway, bus terminus restarants etc. Breakfast had an excellent variety but the coffee from the machine was not good if you drink black coffee. One day a lady made a proper expresso which was great. The room was clean, functional and recently updated, bedding and linen was exceptional. The air conditional was welcome but struggled with the heat.

Hard Bed, nice staff
The location is very near the train station. That makes it convenient for getting luggage from train to hotel, but a farther walk to get to the 'main attractions'. It's a trade off one way or the other. The air conditioner in our first room didn't work well. It took us 2 nights to realize this. At first I just thought it was having a hard time because it was SO hot outside. However, the lobby was quite chilled, so I figured something must be wrong. The staff was very pleasant. We were offered another room, which had A/C that was working quite well. What we were not told ahead of time was it was a smaller bed. We went from a king to a queen. The beds in both rooms were quite hard. (not firm, hard) Of course the room with the better A/C had the harder of the two beds. I think the hard bed thing might be an Italian (or European) thing. I stayed in 3 places that had firm to very hard beds. The only place that had what I would consider a regularly firm bed was an American chain. That's why I'm not sure if very hard is just the standard in Italy. Although the staff was very pleasant and helped when we asked, if I were to go to Rome again I would try a different hotel.
