Great Location
On a walk only street. Within walking distance of many historic places, shopping, restuarants and cafes. Lots of street shopping around. The personnel are the best. Restaurant on premises - very good food.

excellent location
The Ritz is an older hotel very conveniently located in the centro historico- The National Palace, the national Cathedral , Bellas Artes, and the Alameda are all within an easy walk. The room was somewhat small but ample for one; it was comfortable and clean. The staff was courteous, accommodating, and helpful. With so many good restaurants close( Sanborn's, Café Tacuba) I did not sample the hotel's fare. I was there on the week-end before the Day of the Dead and the street crowds were unbelievable; it was an interesting time. My room would have been cramped for two; I'm sure they have others more spacious.

Hotel staff all very helpful. Breakfast was very good and location awesome to explore Centro. We had no noise issues even with 5 day stay over day of the dead celebrations.

Well serviced, historical area
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly on several occasions. Because the hotel is on a pedestrian street, taxis can't stop out front. But the porter walked me to a pre-arranged taxi, waited with him, and did all the talking in Spanish for me. The rooms aren't very sound-proof so if people on your floor are talking with each other, everyone can hear everything and it can be quite loud. The area is extremely busy, crowded, loud, and touristy. There are many restaurants, bakeries, within this historical area. Bathroom is a good size and new. Wifi worked perfectly.
