Great location
Stayed at the Mercure on George street. The property is well connected to public transportation and is 15 minutes walking to Darling Harbour and to major shops on George. While restaurants are great and offer a good variety of food, i tried several times calling for room service before 10pm without success.

Our go to place in Sydney city for its proximity to Central Station, 24 hour reception and friendly, helpful staff. Great sleeping with blackout blinds and no traffic noise. Good eating options in Kensington St and a supermarket both within 19 minute stroll.

Convenient location, very basic hotel
Basic renovated hotel rooms, basic fitness centre, small pool and sauna. More like 3.5 star motel. We stayed 3 nights, housekeeping and front desk service was good and friendly, although we feel, we paid a bit too much per room for our stay and realised Hotel.com does not offer discount for multiday stay or offer price match to cheaper rates found after booking. Location of hotel is 10/10, next to Central station with shopping and food in very close proximity. Beds and room was spacious..we stayed in 2 double bed family room on level 4 with no view, a bit disappointed as photos in the ad looked better.
