Lovely hotel, great location...would recommend!
Brilliant...we used this as a base (which many advise against due to location) but it was perfect. It took about 30 minuets on the tram to Jervis (5 min walk from Temple where all the bars and restaurants are located). The trams were very regular, the longest we had to wait was 6 minuets and were were on and off the tram at least 6 times a day. It was a great base to get to the best nightlife in Dublin as well as visit Kilmainham Goal and the Guinness Storehouse (both well worth a visit) and if you get the Leap travel card (3 days for €19.50) you also can use the nitelink bus which leaves temple at 12pm, 2am and 4am and it drops you right outside the hotel so you don’t have to worry about catching the last tram. Lovely hotel, great location...would definitely recommend.

IBIS Dublin, good value
Quick stop. Staff friendly and we organised. Bit of a pain having to go out and put a parking sticker on the car, but understandable. Will stay there again. Hopped on the Luas and was in Dublin City centre in about 40 minutes. And in the car and down the motorwat later. Nothing to do in the area, but that's not the hotels fault. Only issue was that some of the TV channels weren't working.

Not the best hotel
It’s an old hotel and not in a good location. If you don’t have a car, there is nothing nearby. The restaurant onsite is super expensive but there is nowhere else to walk to if you don’t want to eat there.

A bad night at the Ibis Dublin
WE are regular users of Ibis across Europe and have stayed at this hotel in Dublin for several years. What was wrong On arrival we found the television in our room only had 7 channels working out of the 21 listed. We did not complain! In the evening we had a meal in the restaurant I had Irish Stew this tasted delirious But the meal only contained 3 small cubes of meat. I Did Not Complain. After walking our dogs we returned to our room at 22.00hrs And went to bed about 45 mins later just as we went to sleep My wife answered the phone to find the Restaurant demanding that she returned to the reception to pay for our meal. this they insisted had to be don NOW it could not wait until the morning when we checked out. WE are now considering using another hotel when we return to Dublin . We visit Dublin 3 or 4 times every year so I am sure we can find another hotel to stay in without any problem.

Nice hotel minus the smokers
Nice hotel near to Luas station which was biggest plus. Room spacious and staff friendly and helpful. No air conditioning in room so it was very warm at times. Couldn’t open window as we stayed at front near entrance and this is where the smokers congregated at all hours which was annoying- also think doesn’t look very nice when entering hotel having to walk past and through people puffing!!!!
