6/10 Good
25 September 2023
glad our stay is over
Aside from the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever had to sleep on (with a spring in the middle of my back that also made noise with the slightest movement, actually, everyone in the family also agreed) - and the fact that the Park Plaza is really just part of the Comfort Inn seemed a little misleading - was overall disappointing.
3/10 for cleanliness - The carpet in our suite had spots/stains all over, and there were hairs found in the bathroom left from previous users apparently. There were stains on the drapes, lampshades were stained and cracked, shower/tub was old/stained, and bottom of bathroom door was warped and curling up due to age/moisture it seemed.
And with the pretty basic rain we had for half our stay, it was frustrating that we couldn’t even watch TV due to the Direct TV signal being out any time it was more than lightly sprinkling.
Multiple times of us returning to the Park Plaza entrance of the hotel, we were met with an overwhelming smell of weed within the entrance doors/Park Plaza lobby. That was not very welcoming.
These were just the main issues we encountered. We’ve stayed at worse, but had higher expectations for this one, especially considering we paid about double of those not-great ones. Maybe we just ended up with one of the not-great rooms… it was ok’ish with a quite a bit of eww.
We do not plan to return to this location.
