Great stay for families
Although on first look the area didn’t seem overly desirable, as was right next to the main road, the hotel was great - especially for the kids. It was like a tardis, much bigger than it looked from the outside. We were placed in a ground floor room which opened up directly opposite the pool and hot tub. The inside central area reminded us of a place called Center Parcs (we’re originally from England) and was wonderful for the kids to explore - the inner cafes weren’t in operation as we were there in off season, but I suspect are wonderful when in full use during the summer season. The breakfast at the attached Don Cherry’s was fantastic - tip, it’s huge! One between two kids is more than enough. The rooms were dated, but they were clean and functional - included a microwave and mini fridge. The TV remote didn’t include a guide so it meant flicking through all channels to find a suitable one.
Overall a great stay and the kids have asked to stay there again, the next time we visit Silverstar Mountain Resort which is only 25 minutes away.
**tip - if you need fresh air in your bedroom, this isn’t for you. Although there are patio doors, they open up into an inside pool area. It wasn’t hot or stuffy, and did provide cool air into the room - but this wasn’t fresh outside air.
