Pros: inexpensive, right on the reef for those that like to snorkel, staff is great & friendly, great beach/sand area with plenty of chairs for those who like to sun bath by the ocean, great/clean pool area for those that prefer the pool
Cons: mattress is probably 40 yrs old, loud construction next door, the restaurants serve OK food and that’s it…..don’t expect gourmet meals!!! Breakfast is really good but our other meals were just ok, nothing to write home about. The drinks were horrible!! Watered down juice/booze!!!
If you’re looking for a cheap place the stay with the spouse/family and don’t care about a luxury room because who’s in the room anyway….then yes this is the place. We met Lots of repeat customers that were staying again because of the price. That being said, expect a little wear/tear in the room but the rest of the property is nice. Things we learned from the regulars….pay a bit more for the ocean front rooms, they are nicer, have a deck, and are away from the construction. Bring a Yeti cup, buy a bottle of booze in town, and use the complimentary pop in your room to mix good drinks if that’s your thing….bring metal straw if you like straws, they are hard to find! Use a soft sided cooler as a carry on, the bar will fill it with beer for you! They have LOTS of water toys included, snorkel gear, paddle boards, sailing, which is great…no one should be bored!!! But they don’t open until 9 and close at 4 so if you want lots of snorkel time bring your own…
