Grand Plaza Hotel Branson
Grand plaza not so grand.
It’s an older hotel but had a separate area for my night owl husband to watch tv when I went to bed. Couch bed needed replacing. It was in the middle of the strip so was a great area. Breakfast was great even though they had the same thing everyday. That had a nice variety and it was good. There was an issue with the fire alarm that went off at 10:40 pm the last night we stayed. Using the stairs was very hard going down. Got back to our room at 11:20 pm. The strobes were still going off the next morning everywhere in the building but at least there was no fire. It was a little scary.

Clean inexpensive hotel
I booked this hotel as we were going to Andy Williams theater, and hotel info said it was .2 of a mile. It probably is, but you have to cross highway 76 which has a lot of traffic. If I go back, I would stay at the radison which is on same side of street as the theater. Also, take a bar of soap if u like a bath, they have a very nice combo bath and shower, but the soap and shampoo dispensers are on the wall and are geared toward your taking a shower- u would have to hop up and down to get your soap and shampoo if you’re taking a bath- I wonder what they were thinking when they built the bathroom! It was a clean hotel, and the breakfast was fine.

Not all bad, but not all great either
The staff was amazing. Everyone was very nice. There were multiple problems with the hotel itself. The ceiling had bulging areas, we were directly below the kitchen so around 3:30am until we left at 9:30am it was very loud and you could hear carts being rolled around. There was dust hanging from the ceiling. The room had an odor and there was stuff dripping from the ceiling in the hall way. Also the elevator was extremely slow and we had to push the up arrow to get the elevator to take us down. The hotel itself is on top of a hill, and there is very limited parking (park on the backside if you stay there) that is flat. You either have to climb stairs or walk up a very steep hill to get to the check in area if you are not lucky enough to park in the back where it is more flat. The pool is nice, it was very clean and the breakfast was good with lots of variety.
