The location is perfect for space and a romantic couples time. The food is fantastic both in the restaurant and bar area. The staff from recption to hospitality were all so friendly. Covid 19 precautions were adhered too well. Overall, the hotel is a great place to relax and enjoy however if you are sensitive to noise then room 335 is probably not the best as you can hear delivery trucks and glass bottles being sorted into the recyling units below. If the times for doing this was later in the day I am sure it would not be an issue

Fantastic hotel and the rooms are amazing, one of the most comfortable bed I have slept in at a hotel for a long time. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. I look forward to staying again in the near future.

Couples weekend
We booked a night in Clontarf castle to mark our recent engagement. The check in was a straightforward experience. The room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. We were treated to a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates to mark the occasion. We had dinner in the Knight's bar, the food and service were both excellent. There was a delay at breakfast the next day but the staff were very quick to offer us a delayed check out to ensure our breakfast wasn't rushed. Overall a very enjoyable experience, would highly recommend Clontarf Castle for a Dublin stay.

Great location
Lovely place. Good measures in place to combat COVID 19 however overall atmosphere did suffer with less people about. Would recommend as great location with car to explore Malahide and Howth.

Beautiful hotel but cleaning not what I thought!
Beautiful hotel. Unfortunately I was really disappointed by the cleaning in the bedroom, dust on the bathroom fixtures, bad smokey smell in the room, bed was made but not hotel like if that makes sense., and the mini fridge was dirty inside and had marks all over it. I honestly didn't feel comfortable in the room with covid 19, I thought cleaning would have been better especially for a 4*hotel. Breakfast was beautiful, very tasty. Although staff didn't explain how breakfast worked in regards to helping yourself so we sat for 10 mins unsure until we saw other customers help themselves. All food was wrapped eg pastries and juices covered was which fab. Was disappointed as it was a 10year wedding anniversary and unfortunately it didn't meet expectations

The booking of the bar for evening meal was poor, we booked at reception then we weren’t on the Booking register at the bar when we turned up, food was not great chicken cold and the pudding was swimming in - I don’t know what?? Re heated the chicken so was edible Just spoiled the atmosphere for my family
