The property is very comfortable, great location on a swimmable beach in the heart of Kaanapali. It is a condominium, not a resort or hotel, however. Staff was helpful and attentive. It is really great to be there when the whales are there, the stairwells provide excellent views of the many whale pods that are about.

We enjoyed our stay and are repeat visitors. The Whaler is well-located with good beach access and a central location on Kaanapali Beach. The rooms are fairly spacious and well-conceived and appointed if a little bit worn in some furnishings. The grounds are attractive and well-maintained. The one real negative is the pool situation. The pool is small and unimaginatively designed and the overall space around it for lounging is inadequate compared to all of its local competitors. There is room to remedy this situation but for now the pool falls short by a wide margin.

Our stay in Room 903 was exceptional. 1 room King bed with Sofa in main room area. Fully stocked kitchen with refrigerator that makes ice. for washer and dryer that's also in room, beach lounge chairs and noodles snorkeling.
