    Fabulous Getaway

This was a birthday gift/mini vacation splurge. Right away we were impressed with the service at checkin, where we were surprised with an upgrade to a room in the main Lodge. Our room was lovely, with a gorgeous view out over the lake. There was a large balcony with lounge chairs that I’m sure would be a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sun in warmer weather. The pool and sauna was great after a long day of hiking, and the meals in the restaurant were delicious. The area is just so beautiful…lovely to walk around the lake, and numerous other trails close by. We walked Maligne Canyon and around Edith and Annette lakes. Fall is an excellent time to see more wildlife, with deer and elk frequenting the grounds, as well as geese and even a bald eagle. We rarely saw other people on the trails. This is a first-class resort, and we definitely plan to be back.

    Special place to be

We always enjoy going to Jasper Park Lodge. Out of all the fairmont hotel wr have been to, Jasper is by far the best one. The food is great, the accomodations are fantastic and you are always so welcome there. The place is rustic and thats what gives it its charm, we love it so much!! We are going back in December for another week and we know it will not be a dissapointment, it never is. This is by far one of our best place to go to relax and enjoy a good drink by the fireplace in the gran lobby. Thank you so much for taking good care of us every time we go.

The lodge is beautifully located, and the view from our estate suite was amazing, but dining options were limited. We had dinner at the lounge the first night we were there, and it took more than 30 minutes before the food arrived. I gather that the lodge is understaffed, but that problem and the many empty stalls in the basement just made me more aware of how the pandemic is affecting hotels everywhere.

    Good service but meh room

This is a mixed review. Starts with the good thing: as always the location is great and the view is gorgeous. Service is good. Especially shout out that they allow me to shorten the stay after my airline change the flight time after I check in. It took a bit back and forth but the resolution is satisfactory. One star right here. The bad: as everyone noted the price is very steep for 'rustic' cabin. It's a motel set up with a 4-5 star charge rate. They renovated the washroom but the sink barely drains....The bed itself is comfortable but the room is 'rustic'. So the room itself I probably will give 3 star. Another thing confuses me is during our stay the outside temp is 2-18 degree. The car needs warm up in the morning. However, the room feels at least 20 degree no matter what we do. We open the window and the ceiling fan and the portable A/C and it still feels soooo warm..... I personally prefer a cool room (like 16) so can get hard to sleep and almost cannot stay for the better part of the day. Guess it's a summer issue worth noting..

    Lovely stay and spectacular location

Spectacular location and nice accommodations. I did not know that only 20% of the rooms at JPL have air conditioning. The rest do not. My only complaint was that it was warm in the room even with the windows open which made sleeping uncomfortable. However everything else would be excellent! The service from the front desk staff to the restaurants were exceptional. Nice comfortable beds and they even give you a $50 credit if you don’t want daily room service. That is such a nice perk! We had a lovely time and really enjoyed the property!

We discovered that our door did not lock on the second night of our stay. Also did not receive any notification from the clubhouse that golf was set back 2 1/2 hours because of frost delay. That was very disappointing.

Extremely loud party till 11:00 pm

beautiful resort with plenty of amenities. However, there’s a wedding party on the lawn going on the first night we stayed, with extreme loud music and people dancing to it. Party last till 11:00pm. This is extremely disturbing as baby could not go to sleep and can’t be comforted. Elderly guests get especially disturbed and almost felt like a heart attack. We did not pay $$$$ to be tortured. This is not a relaxing experience we wanted and had I known this situation I would definitely not be booking for that night.
