    Kate 30 years of celebration
We had a fabulous time. The cabin was perfect except for the location. I was going to request a different location after seeing it upon checkin but didn't I have a service dog, handicapped plates and the path and stairs to O2 where challenging, l fell when I as leaving with my pup and the young man at checkout asked if I would like to fill out an incident report, but I am not one to do that sort of things. I just arrived home and I am sore but I will get the ice bag out. I would highly recommend the Lodge to anyone, my husband and I owned the Hardware and Liquor store and raised our children there and did business with the Lodge when it was privately owned, so I was concerned about the changes, but I must say it is even more perfect, can not wait to make my next reservation, Kate Vicek

    Great getaway!
Always wanted to stay here! My husband had a night free so I was tickled to see that we could get away for just one night without a two or three night minimum. The place is charming. It’s very old fashioned but updated. Just what I love!

    DISAPPOINTING
booked our stay and everything was not as stated. was told there was a restaurant, room service and gift shop. when i checked in i was told none of these things were available. i talked with the manager and he really didnt care one way or the other. i thought he would offer some sort of discount or something but that was not happening. the young lady at the desk was more helpful and understanding and probably should be the manager.

    Very good 8,0
The cabin was clean but very tiny and cramped. The shower was the smallest I have ever used. There was barely room for two bags. Nevertheless, the location was great and the scenery was wonderful.

Disgusting - easily our worst hotel stay ever
There's potential here with the beautiful main lodge and the amazing setting, but the room and service were a disaster. First, check in. The front desk seemed baffled that we were there to check in - it was 4 pm on a Saturday, which seems like a perfectly normal time to check in. They didn't greet us with a smile and seemed more content to talk to each other than to give us our room keys. We were in town for a wedding, and they wouldn't stop telling us about how we should have dinner in their restaurant, even though they said the restaurant was almost out of food due to the end of the season. The "cabins" are pre-fab duplexes with thin walls and just one small window. They're utterly charmless, and loud to boot. Ours was suffering from foundation issues and sloped dramatically toward the bathroom. The room itself was very small, with nothing but a bed, a mini fridge, a small TV, and a dirty microwave (luckily we didn't need it, but GROSS). The bathroom was tiny and dark, with just one bulb to illuminate dark walls, dark tile, and a dark shower curtain. Maybe that was for the best, since the tub was covered in mold. The worst part was by far the sewage that came pouring out of the tub spout every time our neighbors used their water or flushed their toilet beginning at 6 am. We couldn't shower. We were disgusted and decided to leave at about 7 am. When we told the manager, he criticized us for not calling maintenance and said "that's what I would have done." It was awful.

beautiful place ruined by not such good acomodatio
The view was beautiful. The room was extremely small and outdated. Their service was horrible no urgency at all, stood there for over an hour trying to get a drink and appetizer. The grand lake lodge sent me hiking in the wrong direction ruining my hike experience. paid about $120 for a two person meal $50 steaks with horrible service and they did not have any steak sauce
