Lack of hospitality is the norm at this hotel
Terrible experience at checkout and at checkout, lack of courtesy is the norm of the hotel, bad odor at the room, very small room, and above all big stairs to reach reception desk. I selected this hotel using the criteria os number os stars that in the web is 3 stars, but in reality it can be classified as 1/2 star hotel! I will not return to this hotel never more.

Ideal to
Been to the lirico many times. Great location. Near termini station. Tony on the reception is excellent. Rooms are quite small but adequate. Michelangelo on desk too was very pleasant

Walkable to Trenini
Walkable to the Trenini, clean, quiet room and clean bathroom, nice continental breakfast. Room had TV, blow dryer, spacious compared to many. Very pleasant hosts, eager to help. Typical European decor, fabric covered walls, clean Italian tile floors. Lots of stairs, so call ahead if you need help with baggage. Close to Opera house, area seemed safe, trash on ground typical of all of Rome these days :(

July 2019 trip to Rome
My teenage sons and I had a great stay at this hotel. Don't be put off by the peeling paint on the external walls, as it does look as though it needs some external decoration. However, inside it is well decorated, clean and pleasant. The staff are really friendly, helpful, and will make recommendations for restaurants etc, including booking tables on your behalf. We had a three bed room (a twin and bed settee) which was fine. The size was good and the room was clean and tidy. It could have done with tea making facilities because after a hot day walking around Rome, you need a drink! The hotel location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the main railway station, and about 20 minutes to the Colloseum and the city centre sights. Its also good for buses across to the Vatican (1.5 Euro) per person. We had an excellent stay and would use this hotel again.

Great central stay!
I stay here regularly-super convenient to walk the city. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is pretty good (more variety than typical Italian sweets). Only complaint is poor connectivity of WiFi. Drops constantly. Hardly works in rooms at all.

Terrific hotel, lobby being up a flight of stairs wasn't ideal after a full day of walking.

all m' all - great hotel
hotel was clean, the staff was very kind. bought the Roma-pass at the desk for a crazy price which wasn't all that great and also, WIFI was super weak and allowed almost nothing other than web pages.

Short stay
Great hotel for short stay! Room was spacious and had everything you could need. Shower door didn’t fully close and a rather large beetle joined me in the bathroom. Apart from that a nice hotel!
