We enjoyed our stay here but feel it is expensive considering the shabby decor in places. Our room was good, recently refurbished. No complaints there. The staff are lovely with

Not great.
Stayed for 1 night in room 210. Avoid. Room was big but very small window, the view was amazing though Bathroom was tiny and the shower even smaller. The room and bathroom were both very tired. In one corner of the room the ceiling was collapsing, there were holes in walls in the bathroom and the curtains were shorter than the windows. One beside table had a light. Piled up outside our room in the corridor was chairs and other furniture. Parking is limited, but there is parking on the road, so that’s ok. For a premium price you expect good things, not old tired and scruffy.

Had a lovely stay here on Saturday night ... Lovely helpful friendly lady on check in .. Very helpful night porter who let us in ... And fabulous breakfast staff .... The guy on check out was the only person who wasn't very helpful and friendly but didn't spoil our stay and we would return ... Fabulous location and views and Fabby brekkie !!

Golf break Isle of Purbeck
Disappointed in number of car parking spaces. We had golf clubs and equipment so not overly happy leaving car on the road. Staff very friendly & helpful. Beautiful views from conservatory & bar. Easy walk into town. Food very good.

Comfy anniversary break
A nice comfy 2 nights stay at the Grand, very nice and polite staff, especially the lady in charge of the breakfast service, which was also delightful

Great hotel with excellent beach access
Very nice hotel, very close to the beach. There was also a good gym/spa area, however we didn't have time to use it. It's not very close to the town centre, but it was a nice walk down there to the various restaurants. The room was comfortable and slightly quirky - it was rather warm, but that was in the middle of the heatwave, so I can't really blame them for it!

Short stay in traditional seaside hotel
Traditional seaside hotel with good views over Swanage bay. Steep walk down to sandy beach with great cafe. Not a long walk into town either. Food average. Parking VERY restricted.

Ups and downs
Amazing views. Good food and Staff are really helpful and friendly. Public areas are really good. I can only comment on our room which was 210. The bathroom was really in a poor state and needs updating very badly, very tiny too. What a shame because it could be a lovely Hotel. Very expensive for a three star Hotel.
