    Dirty towel forgotten
The bedroom overall was clean and comfy but I must say there’s was a dirty towel (probably forgotten from last cleaning) which wasn’t a big deal because I was a solo but still not acceptable.

Superb hotel in the Real Republic!
Second time staying at the Shandon Maldron Hotel, it’s really a hotel that keeps on giving! Mantas is excellent at his job, along with the doyenne that is Maria is the epitome of the hospitality sector in Ireland! Between Joe, Denis & Caitríona as management this hotel is a gem of Cork’s North Side! Hannie & Magda were superb during breakfast service, couldn’t find fault with their hospitality and I had the most wonderful and delicious tasting Eggs Benedict you could ever get in the hospitality sector! Well done head chef! Definitely sets you up for an amazing bank holiday weekend! Between staff in ClubVitae, the accommodation staff, Bell’s Bar, this is a winning hotel and the vista of the Shandon Bell is a winning tourist attraction for guests both at home and abroad! This is one hotel that keeps upping the ante!

    Hotel with character
First time in Shandon Maldron Hotel, impressed with the ambiance, lay out, facilities and the excellent staff, such as Caitríona, Gemma, Hannie & Alice! The best experience I had was meeting Marius, the front of house representative who is truly an amazing hospitality employee in this establishment! Definitely the best hotel in Cork!

    Covid stay
Our bathroom was prepared as it was only 2 of us travelling, not 3. The hotel ran out of towels... I was expecting more from 4 star hotel but at the same maybe it is the 'start-up' after lockdown. Staff nice and friendly, food worth of trying.

Lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Room was nice with a comfortable bed. Had both an evening meal, Well priced and excellent and buffet breakfast was great albeit a little cold. Easy walk in yo Old Cork. Would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending to others.

Nice hotel beds very comfortable plenty of room. Took a while for the hot water to reach the shower. The fitness centre could do with a upgrade very shabby. And no hand sanitizer anywhere in the hotel , food menu over priced for what it is also need changing . Staff very friendly.

    Good 6,0
Staff are really friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is not good quality for a 4 star hotel, the shower wasn't hot in my room had to be changed mid-stay due to boiler issue. Rooms are dark and bit shabby for 4 star hotel, bathrooms are dated and need upgrade. Hall way enroute to rooms tend be always be messy with rooms being cleaned.

    Over rated & over priced!
First impression; Looks great, location great - 5 min walk from city centre. The hotel car park is tiny and we were directed to a multistory where we had to pay. There was no room to turn around in the hotel car park / driveway, so we had to back blindly out from the entrance onto the public road. I Booked to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and so paid top money expecting top quality. We think this hotel is definitely overpriced and don't believe this hotel is currently up to standard of a 4 star rating. The general look and feeling of the building is shabby with stained carpets, dirty walls etc. In our room the shower holder was broken, so I had to stand there holding the shower over my wife's head so she could wash her long hair and then when she tried to dry her hair, the hair dryer came on, off , on and then died completely. My wife told a member of staff working at reception when we checked out and he said curtly thank you for telling us, but neglected to make any note on the computer or elsewhere? We enjoyed the pool then ate out and only came back to the hotel to sleep. The bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast was ok but they only had scrambled eggs. We would not return to this hotel.
