Not so happy
The room was tiny and the shower stand the smallest I have ever seen. We had a room to the back of the building with an exhaust chimney right in front of our window, probably from the kitchen, which was very loud. Next door showering could also be heard in our room.

Beware Smelly Hotelly
We booked this hotel on the app, and relied on the feedback from travelers. We arrived at the hotel location, which is across the river and the Inverness cathedral. As we walk up the steps to the front door, we were met with the overwhelming smell of Indian food/curry. We were greeted by a woman, who asked us if we were checking in and we were not sure how to answer as we contemplated if we we could cancel the reservation. We eventually enter the hotel / Indian restaurant. There’s no front desk, more of a restaurant reception with menus. Our room was located on the 3 floor, and the smell of Indian cuisine was extremely potent. The room was OK and location was good, but be aware that is on top of an Indian restaurant. The smell overcomes all your clothes, hair, and it’s hard to sleep with that smell. For the remainder of our trip the “smelly Hotelly” brought us a lot of laughs!

Great location, easily walkable from station and around the town/river. Very friendly helpful staff, and the on-site Indian/Thai pop-up restaurant was great - simple menu but good food and very fast service, perfect for our first night. Room had everything we needed, comfy bed and bonus of river/castle view.

Great location and the people were very helpful. The room was a bit small but you expect that when stating in the city center. Would stay there again.

2/10 Poor

The rooms were clean and in good condition but with basic dark wood fittings and cramped.Very small shower room - you could stand in the middle and touch every wall - with a basic electric shower. There is no lift in this hotel and we were three floors up with a heavy case. There is no lounge, no bar and all communal areas are shabby. The place is more like a hostel. The dining room is an Indian restaurant and the whole hotel smells of curry. There is only on-street parking which is almost impossible. The door is locked at 10.00pm and the key is difficult to work. The staff smile a lot and try to be nice but they really don’t know what they are doing. This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.
