The Tremont House

It was a great stay. The entire staff was extremely friendly and polite. The pricing was very competitive including in the bar and dining area. The food and drinks were outstanding as well. The room was very nice. It was clean and well laid out.

We had a great stay. The only things I didnt care for was the 2 bedrooms and only one bathroom.

It was an amazing anniversary weekend getaway. My only complaint is that we were on the 4th floor right near the entrance/exit to the rooftop bar. Up until it closed for the night we would hear loud revelers coming/going or whooping it up from the roof. But we just rolled with it. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful, the staff are gracious, and the service is really nice. The location is perfect for shopping and enjoying any number of restaurants and bars. The beach is a short drive. We can’t wait to visit again!

The room was spotless and very comfortable. Bathroom had an unusual layout but was very clean and met all of our needs. I would most definitely stay again.

Amazing historical hotel, fully updated, peaceful, and walking distance to excellent dining and shopping.

I would like to speak with someone regarding my stay there this past Saturday evening (3/20/21). We literally got no sleep, there were people talking/yelling in the hallways, and outside our window, cars driving by with stereos so loud the windows would literally rattle as if they were about to break, then at 3:30am a gun shot that startled us and we could not go back to sleep. Paying over $400 for a 1 night stay, that we got no sleep, I would appreciate being refunded for the charges.

The parking is definitely an issue & is pretty frustrating. If you’re going to only provide valet FOR A CHARGE, then there should be additional parking as an option. The rooms are not cheap, therefore, valet should be complimentary. The inside of hotel is beautiful, however, the rooms leave a LOT to be desired. I was quite disappointed. This was our 10th Anniversary & I wish I would’ve just booked elsewhere for cheaper. I understand hotel is older but it needs some significant updates. Bathrooms are minute & dingy. Floors don’t appear clean just because grout is old & dirty. Room setup is odd. Chairs uncomfortable. Room service lacks a lot to be desired bc it loses its crispness when delivered in “to go” containers in a bag. If guests are staying in the rooms (which can be cleaned) then why nix the delight of proper room service? $50 for mediocre food in tupperware containers with CHEAP flimsy plastic silverware? Come on! I felt offended after what I’d paid for room. I stayed in a Residence Inn two wks prior that was 10x more luxurious & nicer than this was. I was highly disappointed at what we got for the cost. Will not be back.

Our stay was good. Tremont is located in a great walkable location for the strand and harbor area. It’s beautiful & historic. It’s not close to the beach though. The beds and pillows were not great. 5/10 at best. I hate not having service when I’m paying over $250-$300 a night. I will be very glad when hotels go back to regular service. The coffee shop made a latte by microwaving milk, that’s not awesome, especially since said coffee was almost $5.00. My only other thought was the room had almost no lights and even less plugs. The rooftop bar was closed early and was very disappointing. Overall I give my stay here a 6-7/10.

Great hotel in the middle of the Strand. Everyone very friendly.
