Good hotel near Keflavik airport. Nice bar and excellent restaurant. If you like to rest after traveling into Iceland to for instance visit the Blue Lagoon, than this is a good stopover. We had a junior lounge which was spacious but the bed was too soft. Minus: Got stuck in the elevator. The hotel's airport shuttle is not available for everyone??? I was told to get a taxi from the airport even though I arrived at 20.00h.

We stayed at Keflavik hotel for one night before our departure from Iceland in October 2021. Even through we reserved two individual rooms, the hotel upgraded us to a family suite ( two rooms connected by a small common hallway with its own door) at no additional cost. This setup allowed us to do the last minute repacking without waking up the kids. This choice came with extra convenience of being able to park our car right next to the entry to the first floor suites. The suite was located on the first floor of the property, overlooking a quiet street. The rooms were great - quant and beautifully appointed and very clean and both showers were fantastic. Despite of being located 4 min drive from the airport, there was no airport noise at all. We loved our stay and we are looking forward to staying there again.

Hotel Keflavik switched us to another hotel. The hotel was small, had no gym, restaurant was only open for breakfast, the rooms were very basic, the bathroom was not so good.

Was placed in a room that was supposed to be recently "renovated". Upon first glance, it was a nice room but it was missing a headboard (it was in the hallway) and there was a foul odor that was coming from a drain in the bathroom. Some of the improvements were a little weird - a tv right next to the bed (on the wall where the headboard is supposed to be) and the toilet paper holder was way to far from the toilet. And the heated floors were nice until we realized we couldn't control the temperature of the room and it became too warm in the room that we had to open the windows. Location was a little bit to be desired. But it was nice to have a gym and the breakfast buffet was great.

We had a reservation through Expedia and room was paid for two nights but on arrival we were told the reservation did not exist and sn alternative reservation had been made for us in what was essentially a hostel with dirty rooms, no elevator, smelly bathroom. This was absolutely appalling! What’s the point of making a reservation through Expedia when it means nothing. No refund was offered and we paid for an expense VE hotel and got stuck in an awful and very cheap hostel.

Loved it. We were upgraded to the Topaz Room and were able to access early. Everyone was so kind to us.

Recent renovations are amazing. The hotel is beautiful! I know we are in Iceland but a ceiling fan would have been nice. There was also a sewer smell we thought coming from the toilet so we just made sure to keep the lid and bathroom door closed.
