Terrible experience
It was my second time staying at this hotel.
It for sure will not have a third time.
Got the “Super deluxe room”. An upgrade from being a Hotels.com Gold member.
The upgrade, shortly after, became a big nightmare
Room was very outdated for a 5 star hotel.
Our room’s air conditioner was not working. When asked for someone to take a look, it took them hours to get to the conclusion that it was broken. Their solution: they gave us a small fan.
We had a very hot night. it was like a sauna around the room until 3 AM, when it got extremely cold.
We went from sweating to chilling at the same night. Could barely sleep.
Unbelievable experience for a 5-star hotel.
The bathroom was dirty and badly cleaned. My partner found remains of human feces at the top of the toilet seat that I had to clean.
Not joking. In a 5 star hotel.
The cooler (small refrigerator) also didn’t work. it was hotter inside the appliance than inside the room. They told me that it was working properly and that it was behaving the way it is supposed to. They did nothing about it.
Our in-room service order was missing items (beverage and starter). When I asked about it by phone, after they brought the food and left, they told me they were out of it. And charged me 10 GBP for their “tray service”.
They were incredibly short staffed and things were for sure not like it used to be there 2 years ago when I visited it first time.
I advise everyone to avoid it!
