Very good 8,0
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff! Bed was very firm so I was a bit uncomfortable and my bath towel, although clean was very stained so found that a bit disappointing for such a lovely hotel.

Great accommodation for Great North Run weekend.
Great stay in this hotel for the Great North Run. Lovely staff in all areas of the hotel wanting to please. Very comfortable. Great river view room on the 11th floor. Great to be able to exit and access the hotel via the lift to the ground floor opening down near the quayside, saving the legs on the steep steps from the quayside up to the front of the hotel! Only discovered this by chance wandering back up a steep slope from the quayside. Entrance through gates and a courtyard bar. Dont miss it, it will save your legs!! Location great, easy access to central station, and the metro quicker to walk than a taxi due to one way system. Loved our very comfortable stay and would stay again. Newcastle is beautiful with lovely friendly people, a perfect stay for a wonderful GNR experience.
