The Pelham - Starhotels Collezione

We have been to the Pelham several times. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The common areas...Library, Lobby, etc are intimate and comfortable. Our only negative this time around was the room we were assigned was as in the past accommodating and quiet but as it was located at the back of the building it had no city view and was a bit long on the tooth. The hoyel's location is very convienent to the South Kensington tube station which has the Piccadilly line from Heathrow along with the Circle and District lines...all three will get you to many of the City's sites and museums. We will return to the Pelham when in London but in the future make more of an effort to be given a city facing room.

Front office staff is very friendly and helpful with dinner reservations and/or suggestions. Restaurant in house is good quality food at a reasonable price.

Great stay, love it there

Really good stay here. Unfortunately the lobby was being renovated but in fairness there was minimal if any inconvenience caused by this. Each staff member was so helpful. My wife has mobility problems so they had put us into a beautiful ground floor room. Despite being next to the road it was really quiet. We ate in the restaurant one evening Again fantastic service and the food Wow the best beef and lamb dishes we have had A little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. I wanted a special luxurious break as a birthday treat, and that's what we had.

It was my family’s first trip to London and my first “tourist” trip despite many business trips over the last few years. We needed three rooms and thus I was pretty price conscious but didn’t want my family’s’s first experience to be subpar. The Pelham delivered an excellent stay without breaking the bank. V&A and natural history being next door as well as being a stop on the Big Bus and plentiful great food options will have me recommending the Pelham to all. Here are the slight negatives that in no way affect my overall conclusion that the Pelham is awesome. If you have mobility issues, you may want to call and check availability as many rooms rooms are accessible only through a mini staircase here and there. The Eggs Benedict at breakfast was not at the quality of the rest of the hotel. If you’re going to get the breakfast, continental’s probably good enough.
