Disappointed in my longtime hotel
I've been staying here since I was a kid without issue but this past stay was really disappointing. They've really let it go condition wise. The room furniture was dormitory quality. There were dirt stains in the tub and on the bathroom floor. The hotel was extremely noisy with young clubbers. Paper thin walls. The front desk was responsive to our noise complaint but not much they could do.
There was confusion at check in. I booked the two rooms under a third party app but the hotel reservation was under each name. The front desk person seemed surprised that I had two rooms. I understand what happened but I've never seen such confusion for a third party booking before. They also overbooked the hotel and turned away the poor guy next to me after cancelling his booking. At check out, instead of charging me the two rooms after asking me if they could charge the card used for the booking, they without my knowledge, asked the person who had the second room under my booking to pay separately. This cause confusion when we split trip costs on the way home and I'm still trying to figure out if we got double charged because the damage hold hasn't cleared yet.
My wife and I both remarked separately that it felt like we were staying in a college dorm.
