About ARCOTEL Wimberger Vienna

Hotel with Sunday Jazz Brunch close to Westbahnhof station

5 stops to Stephansplatz

Arcotel Wimberger Vienna is in the vibrant 7th District, 5 minutes' walk from shop-lined Mariahilfer Strasse as well as from Westbahnhof Station, where the airport bus drops you. Stephansplatz in the city center is a 10-minute U-Bahn ride or 40-minute stroll away.

Tech Museum, Schönbrunn

The tram gets you to the Technisches Museum, with exhibits on technology in everyday life and lots of hands-on stuff for the kids. It's a short walk from there to the Habsburg emperors' palace and gardens at Schönbrunn, with great views from the Gloriette at the top of the hill.

Restaurant, whiskey bar

An early morning visit to the indoor spa tub, gym or sauna will help you work up an appetite up for the lavish breakfast (surcharge), or there's à la carte brunch if you're a late-riser. Handwerk Restaurant is the spot to cutting-edge culinary trends as well as Austrian classics before a whiskey nightcap at Joe's Bar.

Space to work and relax

The 225 air-conditioned rooms have an airy, uncluttered feel, and there are suites available if you need more room to stretch out. There's WiFi and plenty of desk space if you're busy, plus flat-screen TVs and minibars, and you can soak in the bathtub at the end of the day.

Nice clean hotel with small wellness in the top floor. Breakfasts were rich and tasteful. Near to public transportation so the city is easy reachable within few minutes.

Good location for two nights in Vienna
This hotel is fine for a few nights in Vienna. It is near a big tram stop and some good restaurants so it’s a pretty good location and better price than downtown. It’s in need of a little TLC. For example our room was a little plain but the bed was comfy so it did the trick. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for the jacuzzi/hot tub which was out of service for our whole stay. The restaurant seems okay and we had drinks one night at the bar and the bar tender was very friendly. The staff was great but the hotel needs some updating tobe considered 4 star because right now I’d rate it a 3 star hotel.

How can this be a four star hotel???
The worst hotel stay I've had in many years. First night, my room was beside the elevators, so there was mechanical noises all night and kept me from falling asleep until I was too exhausted and fell asleep at 5 am (and noises coming from the minibar)! This meant my first day of meetings in Vienna was tough (on top of the early flight I had into the city so I was already tired starting the trip). I asked for another room, which I got later that day. Typically, when you have a bad experience the hotel tries to compensate you a little. My compensation was a SMALLER room, with no desk and two single beds instead of a double bed like I asked for! Anyway, at least I thought I would get some sleep. The room was facing a courtyard that was shared with private apartments... so the second night, there was music playing until about midnight and people talking and laughing until very late. So around 2 am I finally fell asleep. The third night there was only minor noise coming from the courtyard and I kept the TV on more or less until I was ready to go to sleep. What I didn't realise until I was going to sleep was that this new room was at the end of the hotel, but next to an apartment complex, and that the elevators in the next building were next to my room! So again I had this problem with elevator noises all night and finally fell asleep at 4 am (with a 7 am wake up to get my flight)! So I slept around 2-4 hours pr night in this shitty hotel!

Nice hotel, unfortunate that the air conditioning didn’t work in the first room and barely worked when we got moved but third time lucky! Jessica and Michelle were brilliant in helping us with this! Nice restaurant and good location for metro.
