Just not worth staying on the strip anymore
Once we got there and walked forever from the parking garage to the front desk we had to wait over an hour and a half before we were checked in. Then we had to walk all the way back to a specific elevator that was for our floor. You have to walk so much you would think that all the elevators work for every floor having one corner of the pyramid elevator for specific floors is ridiculous. There was no refrigerator in our room there was no microwave the room was barely clean the bathroom have been redone. Beside the massive long walking what really upset us was you can’t even get a drink of water on the casino floor anymore. We had to go to the food court and it cost $4.98 for a dang bottled water. All the casinos on the strip are like this now and even on our parking we had to pay extra. Even as guests, we thought they would validate our parking wrong. It was not easy to find our way around the place is huge and we knew we’d have to walk, but it was so exhausting that you can’t even enjoy your stay. The prices for everything have just gotten ridiculous. The only real good time we had was when we went down to Fremont Street that was actually easily walkable and there was restaurants to choose from places to shop places to gamble places to do things that was actually the best part I think next time will stay down in that area . I’m just so taken aback at how commercialized everything’s gotten it’s crazy. The buffet at luxor was out right disgusting it was $25 too.

    Never stay at the Luxor!!!
The very first person that we spoke to at check in was incredibly rude to us, she kept insisting we take a room with 2 queen beds even though we clearly had reserved and already paid for a room with a king bed. She then said there was an additional $119 service charge from the hotel even though I had already paid the service charge and taxes on hotels.com, she then charged us another $50 per night deposit fee and would not tell us how long it would take to get back. After declining the room with queen beds, she rolled her eyes and said, “well you will be waiting until at least 3pm if not longer then”. We asked where a good place to eat lunch at while we wait and she said, “there’s a bunch of places just pick one”. We finally got a text at 3:15 saying our room was ready, it was very small, it smelled like smoke, the wallpaper was peeling off in several places and even with the air on high it was super hot. There were only two pillows on the bed, we had to request more and waiting 45 minutes. The elevators were also very scary and made me sick every time I had to ride them since we were on the 13 floor. Very unhappy and would never stay there again

We were put in older part of hotel and the noise of the elevators was noisy constantly. It made it very difficult to sleep. Plus, the room next to us kept slamming shut their hotel bedroom door.
