Not the nicest Embassy Suites I've stayed in. Everything seemed a little crammed in also.

Not impressed
Overall not happy with this visit. We usually love Embassy properties and although we understand with COVID policies that the hot breakfast is not available. They had no other alternatives in place. And I feel the price for the stay was far too high for this place.

No embassy service this time
Selling feature of embassy suites is the multi room accommodation plus the cooked to order breakfast.. we received a bag with 8oz water, snack pack fruit cup,muffin...have not dropped nightly rate.. you could still social distance with guest taking cooked to order to room and offer a hot coffee or juice were offered..since carry out us meal choice at least offer larger trash cans with trash liners

Embassy Suites Flagstaff - Just OK
Staff are very nice and the price is reasonable. Location is also great. However, I have two issues which would keep me from booking again. The small couch had stains all over it which was kind of gross. The staff had turned the cushions over to hide the worst of it. Also, the room keys are hard to use and it often takes 3 or 4 times positioning the card over the circle to get the lock to open. Considering this has to be done to enter the building and the room, it's quite a nuisance.

Not the best
Embassy Suites overall seem to only be good for the free happy hour, which this one didn't have because of COVID-19. Rooms were shabby. Hotel was noisy, road maintenance made entering the lot difficult, and staff seemed to be just trying to get by.

Issues related to our stay
We understand the issues related to Covid but how can you charge full price when nothing is open? The bag breakfast was a joke, the staff wasn't friendly a d room was very outdated. Peeling wallpaper, mold build up in the shower and no maid service in the two nights we stayed there. We were very disappointed in every aspect of our stay.

Not 3.5
Was surprised at the 3.5 star rating. Service was ok but extremely limited from behind the glass curtain and not what I’d expect from a 3+ location.

Racist front desk manager
I have stayed at Embassy Suites since the 1980s. This was the worst experience. It was definitely a case of reverse racism. Front desk manager was rude, played games, and tried to put me in a cheaper room than which I paid. The excuses were irrelevant and once I stated I wanted a refund, she agreed. I stood in front of her for another 20 plus minutes, got a reservation at another hotel, all the while she was typing away. She finally looked up and asked if i wanted to switch rooms. Rather than yelling at her for wasting my time, I tenained calm and repeated that I wanted to cancel the reservation. This turned into another half hour waste of time. She gave the room for which I paid to the person in front of me, my the third time I had to wait in line. It has been five days and I still have not received my refund.

DO NOT Book, NOT worth it, GO elsewhere.
I was excited when I booked this trip months before. That excitement ended when I walked into the lobby to check in. First was the attitude of the front desk staff, who obviously had no time to check me into their empty hotel and made me wait while they sat at an office desk playing with their phone. When they did finally help me she started by telling me everything that I was promised upon booking was now canceled. NO pool, NO Hot tub, NO hotel GYM, NO free buffet breakfast, NO coffee available in the morning and NO entering the hotel with out a mask. Second was when they did help me proceeded to not give me any choice of room in their empty hotel but to put me on the far side of the hotel next to the cleaning staff & hotel laundry Room. Next, the level of cleanliness in the room was poor. The floor was not swept, bits of food and hair where evident in the living and bedroom. Neither hotel phone worked in the living room or bed room.(used my cell to call the front desk multiple times)The toilet ran and refilled constantly like it had a leak. The room did not smell very good(misty) so we opened all the windows, the furniture was stained there was food crumbs in the sofa bed when I made the bed for the kids. Overall I was NOT HAPPY. Now mind you I have stayed here before and had a great experience. This Was Not Great and was this was expensive for me almost two hundred per night. I was pissed but I was with my family so I kept my cool and made the best of it. DO NOT BOOK HERE.
