Underwhelming. But location is great.
The Westin was a little underwhelming. I expected better. Hands-down, the best part about this hotel was the location. Within walking distance to EVERYTHING - which was amazing and definitely made the trip. When we arrived on Friday around 11:30PM, I asked for a cart to carry our stuff upstairs and the concierge almost begrudgingly wheeled one to the front for me and I loaded it up ourselves and brought it upstairs myself. Which is fine, but underwhelming welcome for sure. When I checked in, I asked for a city-view and told them I would be willing to pay any extra upcharge (which I didn't wind up having to do). They said it was noted on my file and that I had a city view but the only view to the city was to stand with my body pressed up against the window and looking to the left. If you were standing anywhere else in the room, the view was just a big brown building. The room overall seemed clean. But there was mold in the grout in the shower, like a lot of it. I didn't get to try Bill's or Starbucks or many of the amenities so I cannot speak to them. The location made the Westin a well-sought after place to stay and I would maybe stay again but not for the price.

just okay
1. Stayed at the Westin for Pittsburgh Beerfest because they have a covered bridge from the hotel to the convention center, once we got across the bridge and into the convention center, they made us turn around and go outside in order to enter the venue. There were no signs posted saying that we couldn’t enter the venue through the bridge, which was frustrating because we had to go back through everything and outside in below freezing temps. 2. I called the night before our stay to add my boyfriend’s name to the reservation, called the Pittsburgh number and spoke to someone who said they were adding his name to the check-in, he gets there and they tell him he’s “not on the reservation.” Again, incredibly frustrating because we already made these arrangements. 3. I had 0 interaction with staff. Some people may see this as a great thing, but I was disappointed to not have even been greeted.

Good location, beautiful lobby, spacious rooms, well appointed. Only housekeeping was not up to standards.

A 4 not a 5 or 3
A normal Westin with a good bar in a great part of town. The bed seemed to pitch down towards the headboard. Be sure to ask for a room that cannot be seen from the elevators. I was on the 26th floor with an amazing view, but at night due to the shape of the building you could see right into my room. Every thing else was fine. Good coffee in the room.

Bodybuilding
Great location. Just wish there was a microwave in the room. I come out there every year for a body competition and it would be very convenient to have one

Weekend for a game @ PNC
Overall good stay. Very good location. Good restaurants nearby, walking distance. Room was dusty. Electrical outlet only on one side of the bed, very strange and unusual. Pillows were too soft no firmness for support made it difficult to sleep comfortably all night. At check in I appreciated young lady at counter changing my room when I asked for a nice view.

Good venue for business meetings
Nice location, close to good walking areas and good restaurants. Hotel restaurant also quite good. Liked the fitness center. Business meetings were in the hotel and accommodations were fine.
