Hot water!
Very disappointed. We had no hot water from the shower on Saturday evening and no hot water at all on Sunday. When I complained during check out I was told that there had been a burst water pipe on the previous Monday which was causing problems. 6 Days to sort out a water problem in a hotel of this size is not good enough. We then had to queue for a table for breakfast - were offered a serve yourself hot drink whilst we were waiting but there was no milk available.

Good
Great location, but not typical Waldorf standands
Nice facilities for freshening up since we couldn't check in early, but there were several missteps for a place of this quality. Good location near many shops, theaters - room is very small, smaller than any that I've booked in NYC - asked for ice and it never came - tried to order delivery and we were chided for giving the hotel's phone number to the delivery person, even though we called front desk for this since our int'l phone number didn't work on the suggested website -- a good front desk/concierge would have done the work for us - currently undergoing a facelift, so there are no rooms (so we were told) with any sort of view at all -- covered by scaffolding

Good
Disappointed
Certainly my hotel of choice whenever i stay in london, however, just a few problems this time. I booked two rooms, a standard one for myself and an executive for my guest. On arrival only the standard room was available so i took this as my guest was yet to arrive. Just settling in to my room when the door opened without warning and two members of staff walked in. They apologised and left but not the ideal start. Half an hour later i went to collect the keys for the executive room and upon checking the room found it o be exactly the same as the standard one. I returned to the desk and they swapped the room for another slightly larger one. Better but certainly not the standard of previous executive rooms I've stayed in. Upon departure i mentioned the issues to the duty manager whose response was to say that when i stay again he will ensure that i get the correct room. Hardly a generous offer!!
