The check -in process was the worst that we have experience in any hotel anywhere. It was not that our room was not ready, but it took over 2 hours in queue to get to the front desk. The food quality was not up to the standard for a 4 star hotel. So disappointing and well below expectations.

This hotel looks good on the webpage, I mean, every hotel that has fresh coat of white paint, blue pools, and green palm trees looks attractive. What they don't tell you is that it is over 50 years old. Everything is dated, the rooms, the dining room, the lobby, the layout, everything. So we got there and we had to pay extra for all inclusive. It is vague on the Expedia website and it's confusing. The restaurants suck too. The breakfast buffet is open till 12. After that, the only food option is a 50 yr old taco bar, and it's old. There is no coffee bar, just two alcohol bars but no other food is available. The dinner restaurants open at 7pm. One is a buffet, which was closed so we had to pick from 2 other restaurants. The menu is limited and portions are tiny. You will have to pay extra if you want more so we were still hungry every evening. (Afterall it is an all-inclusive...why pay extra?) It's a great weight loss hotel. They just don't feed you LOL So, I had coffee in the room with the little Nespresso maker but I had to pay extra for more coffee pods when I went to the lobby after the two were used. The hotel is too far away from the city. It takes a 20 min cab ride just to get to the main road where you can find more restaurants, Sams, Wal-Mart etc. It's too far to walk. Bottom line, if you want to sit a the pool all day and drink yourself silly, this is the place for you.
