Very good 8,0
Good older hotel with just the best staff
Across from Buckingham palace it has a great location. Checkin was longer and slower than we like. Rooms are older, bathroom update was very nice and had great sleep both nights. The staff here is the property's greatest asset. Alex and Aaron on the door is the start followed by Bogdan on the concierge desk are friendly and extremely helpful. Other people from the front desk and service personnel for breakfast all impressed. We started with a lower assessment of the hotel but left overly impressed. One elevator being down for maintenance leaving one phone booth sized elevator for everyone and baggage delivery was less than ideal. We were on fourth floor and did the old stairs more than we anticipated.

Very good 8,0
Lovely evening and first impressions spoiled
The reception staff were absolutely lovely, but the room was small. The real problem was breakfast service which was completely chaotic and shambolic. I have no idea if there was any particular problem, but it surely cannot be so poorly managed routinely, so can only assume there had been some major incident. That being said, there seemed to be a lack of training/common sense prevailing.

Sleep under a tasteful portrait of the queen.
A stay at the Rubens was a treat for the entire family. Finely decorated with British memorabilia, this fantastic hotel is combining a fantastic building and amenities with amazing staff. Don't forget to book for an afternoon tea.

Amazing staff and service
A welcome note from mgmt., amazing service, and even Macrons and a note after “Hamilton”, great food in the restaurants. You pay a little more, but the service is over the top good! Thank you.
