    Disaster

    The hotel is a filthy, construction nightmare. Lobby is covered in construction soot with dirty tarps and broken floors. If we hadn’t paid upfront, non-refundable, we would have walked out. The lobby desk was disgusting, covered in soot. The room smelled like soot. Light switch didn’t work. No TV. They didn’t even have toilet paper in our room. The parking lot was covered in garbage and discarded flooring and other materials. Simply a disaster.

    Not up to the quality standards of a La Quinta .

    Horrible. This place is under construction/renovation. The doors were wide open, all the windows were open all night. Construction materials, both new and old carpeting and cabinetry, were packed in the halls. Construction workers coming and going all hours. The pool and all the furniture were completely unusable. The coffee was good! Can’t believe this hotel warrants the la Quinta name.

    A dump

    The place was a dump! Based on the reviews I expected it to be decent, but it was a little creepy to walk down dimly lit hallways and see trash, broken toilets and holes in the ceiling with insulation falling out. Maybe they were doing some renovations or something, but the halls they were working on should have been screened from view or corded off. Even the room they gave me, although appearing to be clean, was very run down.

    Before I post ALL of the negative, the night shift staff and shuttle driver were very patient and went out of their way to assure that my son and I got a ride to the hotel. Other than that it wasn’t a great experience. I paid for 2 beds and only got 1. Building was under construction and there was debris everywhere. Our room was NOT one of the renovated rooms. Carpets in the hall were gross and even though it was now a “non-smoking” hotel, you could still smell the years of previous smoking that had leached into the paint and floors (unless what I was smelling were people that were actively smoking and just breaking the rules). Our room had mold on the ceiling in the shower, the toilet seat was loose and coming off and there were small piles of either Sheetrock dust or baby powder on the bathroom shelf. They state that they are cleaning extra due to COVID but there were armpit/pubic hairs in the nightstand by drawer, chunks of food or vomit on the curtains and in two places on the bathroom wall someone had wiped boogers on the wall. There was also a used bottle of someone else’s hand sanitizer left on the counter. I wish I was making this up. I took photos of everything so hopefully this system will let me upload them.

    Lobby was nice. We were not informed when we reserved the rooms that they had construction going on. We had 2 rooms but were no where near each other - one on first floor and one on second floor at opposite ends. One of the rooms had an old cigarette smell. The other room had noise from the hallway late at night and an unpleasant smell in the hall. We were also not told that they had discontinued breakfast because of COVID. The young man that drove the shuttle to the airport was very nice and helpful because he loaded the luggage in the van. The man who drove the shuttle a few days later to pick us up from the airport did not load the luggage. We had to do it ourselves.
