Would highly recommend the Old Coach House. It’s very clean, comfy beds, close to the South Pier and tram. Breakfast was amazing, delicious full English. Kath was lovely.
Kath and Rick made us feel welcome from the start. Nice room with large size and powerful shower. Personally I found the bed too soft but still slept ok. Quiet area despite being only 400 yards from Sandcastle and close to Pleasure Beach. Didn't use the honesty box in the bar but thought it was a nice touch.
Always a warm welcome, a comfy bed and a great breakfast.
Let me start by saying the condition rating was for the outside general condition for an out of season booking, nothing really wrong just not as impressive as the inside of a very old building. Needs a lick of paint and some dodgy looking exposed wiring to outside sign illumination sorted. I really should give up smoking and being nosey. This was a little expensive for a last minute overnight in Blackpool, on a Sunday out of season, but you get what you pay for and the superior four poster room booked was just that. Could not have been better. Put in perspective, the 69 quid premier inn looked like a run down council block, add the 19 quid for breakfast,3 quid for wifi and at least a fiver to park and there was not a great deal of difference. That difference was worth every penny. The whole booking from communication with Kath to leaving after breakfast was a delight. Safe easy free parking, plenty for breakfast, that excellent room with plenty of tea coffee and milk, plenty of toiletries in the splendid bathroom with a large bath and separate shower. Great Weatherspoons, beach, pleasure beach, all in easy walking distance but just far enough away to be quiet at night. Next time we fancy a night in Blackpool this would be my first choice.
The old coach house is a very nice place to stay. We stayed as a family of four as we were watching a show in town. We were given a lovely warm welcome from Kath and her husband Rick. We booked a family room which consisted of a double room and an adjoining twin room which suited us perfectly. The rooms themselves were very clean modern and comfortable with on suite shower and toilet facilities. The breakfast was delicious with a varied selection of cooked food or cereals and fruit juices. There's also parking at the hotel with ample spaces. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the pleasure beach and set on a quiet street a couple of streets back from the main promenade. I stay in a lot of the well known branded hotels with my job and they're ok, but the old coach house really impressed with the personal touch.
