    Location was awesome tiny shower.

The room was great except the shower was very small and one of our rooms had a leaky shower head while in use. Other than that awesome location and amenities.

Would stay again when in the area.

Very nice historic hotel. It would be nice to see this place fully restored. As it was, it was still worth staying at. It had all the modern amenities, in an historic setting.

    Cool, historic, good location

Very nice hotel right in downtown Chatt. Love the historic lobby where you check in. We stayed in the back hotel part, not the train cars. Room was very spacious, clean & comfortable. We were on the ground floor so had a patio onto the courtyard which was great. Good sense of privacy and space even though it is right downtown. Lots of parking ($7) and several restaurants on site. We had breakfast at the hip coffee shop Frothy Monkey on site and the service was SOOOO slow. Food, when it finally arrived, was tasty but not hot - like it had been sitting there waiting for our server to pick it up for a while. Even taking our order for coffee was amazingly slow... in taking the order and bringing the coffee. This is a coffee shop - service should be fast for the coffee at least! I have eaten there before and it was the same thing. Will NOT eat there again. "Too hip to be efficient" should be their motto.

    Wonderful historic experience stay

Our family had a great time at the Chattanooga Choo Choo! I love the historic aspect of the hotel, and while the outside of the hotel building looked aging, the rooms were updated with newer carpet, paint, decor, bedding, etc., so it made the stay very comfortable. The staff was accommodating when Hotels.com messed up the type of room (we needed 2 beds but the website gave us 1 King), and they helped us greatly by giving us a pack and play when our 2 year old was clearly not ready to try a big girl bed :) Everything was clean, but the tub was older and peeling a bit, so that could use an update. We loved walking through the garden area with the trains between the hotel space and the front lobby, and having a breakfast place right there was very helpful for the mornings. We met great people and enjoyed our stay!

It’s not all that you might think

A new paint job would be good. Plumbing needs correction. Tv didn’t work half the time. They need to renovate this entire complex. Shouldn’t charge for parking. Carpet in common areas needs to be replaced. Unless a renovation is done won’t stay here again. Also it’s like a more expensive motel 6

    Great location, mediocre rooms

Great location but the room itself was disappointing. Seemed like a 70s building that was slightly remodeled. Great water pressure though, but there wasn’t even a hair dryer.

I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn’t it. IT WAS NEAT- the old train station was BEAUTIFUL: but the reality is, you’re staying at an old hotel that needs repairs behind the train station. Don’t get me wrong, the area was great. The rail cars were so cool to look at (I wish we could have seen the inside of one.). There were restaurants and bars on property, an arcade for kids as well. When asking what time everything opened and closed, the staff didn’t know any times for the on-site places. Pool was closed and covered in tarps. You have to call for a bucket of ice. Staff will not enter the room if you need something. Unknown parking fee was added. But- as I said. Was really neat and could see the potential Choo Choo Chattanooga has. I hope the next time we come through Chattanooga we can stay there again, hopefully with a few renovations.

    Magic at the Choo Choo

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. The historic environment alone provides a unique experience and charm that can't be substituted. One of my favorite things about the Choo Choo is sitting in the common areas with my husband and enjoying the gardens and the ambiance. This part of the journey was second to none, as is the staff and their ability to accommodate their guests. I requested recognition of my husband's birthday and they went above and beyond to do so. The only truly disappointing thing about staying at the Choo Choo is some of the most aesthetically displeasing parts of the resort, the pool. We knew it would be closed, but it seems like it has been closed for some time. It's waste of wonderful space that could have made our pleasant stay even more enjoyable.
