Restaurant smell on 5th floor
The hotel was alright. It was clearly going under some renovations during our stay, which wasn’t a problem for us. The downside to the hotel is that our room, on the 5th floor, smelled like pommes frites when the hotel restaurant on the street level was open. It made for an uncomfortable evening getting into bed.

Room had no air conditioning, used a fan which was ok. A lot of noise from street, bring ear plugs. Other than that it is charming and has a cool old elevator.

It’s super convenient as it’s near the train station and close to all buses, but it’s extremely noisy as well. I couldn’t sleep at all due to all the traffic sound at night until 2am. The breakfast was great; loved the you-make-your-own freshly squeezed orange juice! Everyone was friendly and helpful, too bad that the rooms are not sound proofed..
