Got stuck in elevator for a long time
my daughter and I got stuck in an elevator for a really long time and when I brought it to the attention of the hotel staff they simply laughed at and downplayed the situation. They were completely rude and inconsiderate with their reactions

    It was ok
There hotel was beautiful. The rooms were Spacious and clean. Couldn't use the hot tub the first night due to the elevator not working and the the second day it was full. The shower was nice and hot then cold then scalding then back to original setting. Not sure what was going on with that.

    Comfortable hotel but loud doors
Overall this hotel was very nice. The continental breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. The rooms and beds were quite comfortable and the fitness room was large with good variety. But the loud room doors were a problem as they slammed shut automatically unless the person held it all the way closed (which clearly never happened based on the “slam! slam! slam!” that occurred at all hours of day and night). So despite the comfy beds I didn't sleep well at this hotel. Also, this sounds odd but the pipes were really loud too — I woke up at 1:30am to what I think was the shower running in an adjacent room. (Then fell back asleep only to “slam!” wake up periodically from the room doors). I happened to be staying over a weekend that overlapped with some sort of middle school dance competition and came back to the hotel one afternoon to find a long line for the elevator. After five minutes in line, without moving (it would clearly take 20-30 mins to get up to my room) I ended up taking the stairs up to my room on the 17th floor. A good workout but pretty annoying not to be able to get to my room. I realize this wasn't really the fault of the hotel, but it was part of my experience and was rather unpleasant given that I had also had a long day and just wanted to relax in my room. So overall I really enjoy the Marriott hotels and will certainly stay in another one again soon, but will likely avoid this particular hotel in the future.

    Another great stay
This hotel really is perfect for an event. We have stayed here 2-3 times before. It was snowing this weekend and I never had to leave the warmth and safety of the hotel/Crown Center, which was great. Our newly renovated room was very nice, however my daughter and I both commented on the hardness of the mattresses. The food prices are high, but convenient. Overall, I always enjoy staying here.

    Steaks and dogs !
Super clean. Super helpful. Steaks at the restaurant are not your average hotel restaurants steak, accommodated for my dog..

    Really nice.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Didn't care much for the fragrance of the bath products. The coffee bar pods were too big for the maker, so made the coffee very strong. Also there was nowhere to dispose of pods, as did not want to put them in wastebasket with no liner. These were minor and would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff, great location, great food for room service! The pool was confusing to find but worth it in the end.

    Terrible First Impression
So, nice enough hotel and staff. Busy downtown location. Easy to walk to shops and such. The bad experience is when you first arrive. Their third party valet service is like commando at the only entrance to the hotel when you arrive. My husband and I both tried to get out of the vehicle and walk in to check into the hotel. We were met by a random man with no form of idea that told us to "give him our car key". We told him we were just checking in and not using the valet. We were parked out of the way, away from the valet line. He proceeded to tell us that if we weren't giving our key over, then one of us could not go in. This was simply ridiculous. I stayed in the car and my husband went to check in. We forgot that the reservation was listed under my name and not his, so he had to come back outside to get me and then I had to go in and use his credit card to pay. All of this could have been avoided if the commando outside was not harassing us. By the time we finally were checked in, I was about in tears... my husband had wanted o stay at a different hotel from the beginning and I lobbied for this one. You can only imagine the looks I got. We did not even try to get unloaded there. Instead, we went to the parking garage and hauled everything in by hand without the use of the hotel luggage carts. After that, the experience was okay. I did mention everything to my check in person, and I thought that she would have gone and gotten a manager right away. She did not.
