Immaculate Fairmont Stay!
Booked the room with 2 double beds in the South Tower which was recently renovated. The hotel itself was great, clean and comfortable throughout. The gym was well equipped, and the pool was good. Service was immaculate - all our requests were met.

Bed Safety
Did not particularly like the BED frame. The hard sharp bed corner edges (feet ends), caused light injuries to the side of my legs. Each time I walked by the bed with my leg rubbing the edges leading to bruises and scratches. The attached rubbers covers on these corners were loosely stick-on with double sided tape, and did not provide sufficient protections. Had continued my stay till my oversea visiting sister left Singapore the 31st. May, Reason of continued and extended stay was for the convenience of my weak and aged sister that moving to another hotel would cause more inconveniences On cleanliness, we suspected the room was not thoroughly vacuum, Used bits of papers, accidentally left on the floor, remained uncleared during our stays. For a high STAR rating and price per room, Faimont has to do a better job.

Bad experience! Only 3-star
It was a painful experience staying at Fairmont. The check in time was long, I just wonder why they don’t allocate more staff for check in/out. With the long queue, it’s not covid friendly. About the room, good thing is it’s big, BUT it’s extremely humid that I could feel the humidity in bed, even though I never opened the balcony door. At one point I thought the blankets and mattress were wet. It’s a long stay, so the humidity had driven me crazy. The air con was weak, hence humidity couldn’t be reduced. Then I asked for a dehumidifier, they ran out of it so they gave me an electric fan. It didn’t help obviously, so the next day I asked again, then they gave an ‘antique’ dehumidifier from the 70s, which stopped every 10 mins as it kept showing the tank was full, while it was not. The next day I asked for another one and complained about the weak air con, finally they gave me another upgraded ‘antique’ dehumidifier from the 80s and helped me fixed the air con. This time it worked finally. Other than these problems, there are not enough sockets in the room, which I had to use the one for coffee machine. On the flip side, the staffs were gentle and patience. I feel bad for them as it’s not their problem, it’s more their management problem. The room was probably renovated, so it looked decent just on the surface, the equipments (like air con, fan, dehumidifier,etc) are from the 70s /80s. It’s not a 5 star hotel for sure in western standard! It’s probably a 3 star.
