    We love staying here every time we are in Manila. it’s very close to shopping, dining, and airport. The buffet breakfast is excellent, served in the world famous Spiral buffet in the hotel.

    Disappointing experience for the price they charge

    Sadly, this was not a good experience. My room had a multitude of problems. There was garbage on the floor of the room from a previous guest when I arrived. Two different light switches did not work. The secondary security lock on the door did not work. The electronic safe would not let me retrieve my items one evening, so I called the front desk who said they would send some one to open it. No one came and a couple of hours later I fell asleep. The next day I had to physically go down to the front desk to ask them to send someone to fix it. Eventually someone came and fixed it, but later that day it failed again, and so again I had to go down to front desk to again ask them to fix it. A manager spoke to me about my experience at check out, apologising, with some vague promise of ‘assisting’ me at my next stay, but it was all a bit too late by then.

    Canadian in Manila

    I booked two rooms and had to wait for my second room even though check-in time was 2pm. It was nice for the front desk to offer a free extension for our check out but considering the hotel is supposed to compete with other 4-5 star hotels - I expected everything ready on time. I live in Toronto and if I compare Sofitel to a five star hotel in Toronto, this hotel will only score 3.5 at most. The pool is beautiful and well-maintained. The food options are great. The room was clean and service around the pool is excellent. Prices are the same as average prices in Canada. Average meal around $40-50 cad per person. I had dinner at Spiral and I liked it enough to go back... $100 cad per person.

    Awesome Staff And Hotel!!

    I had an amazing stay at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel. Their staff is so kind, accommodating and really go the extra mile to make your stay that much better. Upon checkout I learned that the lady I checked in with left me a travel guide and note to help me make the most of the next part of my trip, since I was traveling alone. A very thoughtful gesture, I really appreciated. I lovvvved the pool!! It had an awesome view and was large, with lots of seating. The room was big, clean and had a nice bed and bathroom. The restaurants were very nice and the food was great. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be back in the future! :)

    The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel looked really classy. I got a nice room, with a shower overlooking the bay. I can shower, or soak in the tub, or take a dump, while looking at the ocean. It's close to the Mall of Asia. This hotel has it all. I recommend this hotel.

    I Was checked in at a family suite at the 2nd flr. which was outdated, dirty and smelly. I requested to be transferred to a better room on the higher flrs., but this receptionist named Riri, who is so disgusting gave us such a hard time. She was impolite and rude. The worst check-in I had so far in years. It’s not the same Sofitel experience as before!
