Great location to explore the area from. Ian, the owner can’t do enough to help and the breakfast options are excellent. Absolutely would stay again.

Great hotel. Nice views.

A very nice hotel. Ian, the proprietor, welcomed me with tea and a scone. The room was comfortable and the breakfast could not have boin better. Plenty of choice. Entry is up some stone steps, but I was ableto drive up to the top to unload. The view fro. My window was iconic. Overlooking Rothbury, a quintessential English village. Reasonable rates. Whats not to love. Try it, you wont be disappointed.

Comfortable beds, great breakfasts

Spacious, well equipped room with tea and cake offered on arrival in the guest lounge. So nice this guesthouse offers such hospitality. Friendly owners and great breakfasts. Although it's only a few minutes from the High St, you'd be hard pushed to find a quieter place to stay. Highly recommended.

The Haven really does live up to it’s name. Peaceful, quiet with lovely views across Rothbury and surrounding countryside. Our hosts were extremely friendly and the breakfast choice was varied and delicious. Our room was spaciousness and clean. We were given tea and cake on our arrival - a welcome and unexpected treat!!

Every details had been thought of to make the stay enjoyable. The choice and quality of the breakfast was exceptional I would highly recommend this as a central place to stay.

Great place to stay.

I thought the BnB was absolutely lovely. Easy check in & Covid secure. My room was great with added extras of biscuits, a small bar of locally made chocolate and some sweets alongside the usual tea/coffee. Comfortable bed and the shower room was fine. Breakfast menu looked fab, I left earlier than the times it was served but was able to get a takeaway breakfast on all three days which was perfect for me although the owner did offer to get up early for me so my advice is to talk with him should you need to. Would be very happy to stay there again should I be in the area.

Peace and quiet at The Haven.

The hosts of The Haven were excellent. Rooms were of a good size with a comfortable large bed. It was good to have a selection of teas, coffees and drinking chocolate, and also biscuits and a bar of chocolate. The breakfast selection was also very good with fresh fruits and home made granola. The crab and chive omelette was amazing. We would certainly recommend this property.

Wonderful relaxing stay in a great location.

Lovely B & B guesthouse in a great location. Quiet and secluded, but only a 3 minute walk into Rothbury village to bars and restaurants and beautiful walk along the river. Only a few minutes drive from walks at Simonside and the National Trust Cragside Estate. Fabulous choice of breakfasts, very comfortable and clean room with a great shower (big and very good water pressure), lovely service. Would recommend and stay again. Only downside is that it it could be unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues as steps to access the front door, otherwise, everything was great!

Very little interaction with host . Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about . I would not choose to stay there again

Highly recommend

Beautiful B & B with lovely Northumbian views & an excellent breakfast (which you choose from a menu the night before & freshly cooked to your liking). Just a few minutes walk to Rithbury where there are lovely independent shops, cafes and pubs. Cragside national trust site is 5 minutes drive away and well with a visit. Woukd definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was great; plenty of choice, very substantial and filled us up for the day. No need for lunch! The house is lovely with good views out of our bedroom window. Rothbury is a good base for exploring everything Northumbria has to offer. We will hopefully return in the future and recommend it to our friends.
