Friendlier staff please

Hotel can stand for the carpets to be clean. The toilet is leaning and the room set up is odd. The couch has snags in it. the exercise room water dispenser is disgusting. Staff did not greet us upon entry or departure. Housekeeping pass by and don’t say hello. Overall, Staff can be friendlier and hotel can be cleaner.

The dang elevator is not working. They put you in the third floor which you’d think is okay and no big deal until you come down and you see an older lady almost catching her last breaths just trying to make it up the stairs. Bad at multiple level to have a hotel with broken elevator.

Sad about the Pool

I was sad to learn that the pool and hot tub were nothing but concrete holes when we showed up. We had been depending on using the amenities after a long drive and there was nothing that indicated they were going to be down. The elevator also made some interesting sounds that made us feel like we were going to end up stuck in it, so much so my son ended up taking the stairs for the remainder of our stay. At least the check in was seamless.

Traveling once again to drop off son for fall semester at UC Merced. Only 2 small issues room stale smell of cigarettes. (AC filter may need to be cleaned not sure) sink plug was detached had to bend down an push it from below sink (which currentlywas hard since 4 weeks out of recovery from knee surgery)

no lobby coffee. cleaning crew is on the ball. AC units only go to 68 and no constant fan plus the temp needs to be 2 or 3 degrees outside 68 before it turns on. I woke up sweaty multiple times then got a personal fan. staff is friendly, has an indoor pool and bar/food area. the gym is typical few dumbbells and treadmills so not great if you want more. the stairwell doors are open so carrying anything up the stairs is easy, they auto close when a fire alarm is active. elevator and room keys worked my entire stay which is uncommon these days.
