The town is a popular stop for shows touring the UK, especially stand-up comedians and musicals from London's West End. Among all the flashy, modern bars, you can still find plenty of old-fashioned English pubs. These proud establishments serve a range of local ales, as well as locally produced ciders, in an environment that hasn't changed much over the past few centuries.
