Where to Eat in Weston-super-Mare - Fresh Fish, Creamy Cheddar, and More
Weston-super-Mare is a great place to try fresh shellfish or indulge in some old-fashioned fish ‘n’ chips. You’ll also find refined eateries serving up inventive dishes, as well as international restaurants including Greek, Italian, Indian, and Thai. Typical dishes

Grove Park Village
Dotted around the area known as The Village are some of Weston’s hippest eateries. By the water
Weston has several restaurants that offer calming views of the bay. Fish lovers can head to the Old Thatched Cottage, which specializes in fresh North Atlantic prawns and cod, although carnivores can also enjoy their generous steaks. Housed in Weston’s oldest building that dates from 1774, the restaurant has a warm atmosphere characterized by beamed ceilings and outdoor tables perfect for afternoon tea. You can go to the Marina Lake area to the Cove restaurant for English favorites like mussels and mackerel sourced from local farmers and Cornish fisheries.

Town centre
Scattered through the town centre are several restaurants offering an array of international fare. You’ll find plenty of Indian eateries, including Mint and Mustard, which specializes in elegant interpretations of familiar curries like Keralan chicken and Malabar-style biriyani. You can also opt for a seasonal tasting menu that features seafood and cleansing sorbets. For a Mediterranean-style meal, head to Demetris Meze Bar, a family-run Greek tavern. The contemporary interior features exposed brick walls, and the menu is replete with traditional dishes like chicken and pork souvlaki, and horiatikon, lamb cooked with cream, spinach, and halloumi cheese.

Traditional fish and chips
You can’t come to Weston without indulging in some traditional British fish ‘n’ chips. There are loads of chip shops to choose from, but if you want to take your paper-wrapped meal down to the beach, Winstons is your best bet. You’ll find several varieties of fish, as well as typical side dishes like mushy peas and pickled eggs. There are tables outside with sea views and plenty of indoor seating if you find inclement weather. You can also head to critically acclaimed Papa’s, located in the centre, which has been serving up crispy fried delights since 1966.
