Resplendent with rich Rococo and Baroque decor, Charlottenburg Palace is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful structures in Germany, surrounded by acres of landscaped gardens. It makes a change of pace from the bustle of Kurfürstendamm, Berlin's answer to the Champs-Elysees, where some of the world's greatest designers have their boutiques. Sports fans should visit the colossal Olympiastadion in Westend – a dramatic stage which has hosted the Football World Cup.
With the bouncing clubs, vibrant bars, and buzzing pubs of Boxhagener Platz and Simon-Dach Strasse, the bohemian district of Frederichshain is where Berlin's coolest citizens go to party, unwind, and revel into the wee hours. But there are also fascinating windows into East Berlin's beguiling past, the most evocative being the East Side Gallery, a stretch of the Berlin Wall covered in colorful, politically-charged murals.
Berlin's center, the Mitte district is decorated with some of Europe's greatest structures, from the Neo-Classical grandeur of Brandenburg Gate to the jewel-like dome of the Berliner Dom Cathedral, which stands amid the cluster of world-class museums on the aptly-named Museum Island. No visit to Berlin would be complete without a wander around Potsdamer Platz, the vast square which has survived the ravages of World War Two and division by the Berlin Wall.

A lot of noise came from the renovations on the 5th floor. On one occasion the only lift spent an inordinate length of time on the 5th floor. A lot of noise also came in the early hours of the morning from drunken revellers in the street. We were in room 401.
"high class hotel"

I stayed at a night here in order to be near to a visiting friend. It is relatively expensive but a bargain compared to the nearby one and could hardly be better located. Only problem is the building work nearby! I was upgraded to the presidential suite at no expense, very much the lap of luxury. A great place to stay if you can afford a very central and good hotel. The Kennedy theme is tacky but amusing.

From the moment we arrived we were swept off our feet, our car was whisked away, our luggage was delivered to our room, and after an efficient check in we were excorted to our room. Our only complaint was the cost of the meals and drinks, however, this should possibilly be expected from this type of hotel.
