With its many fashion boutiques and coffee shops, not to mention the charming old Polish Cathedrals, Lincoln Park is an upscale, cosmopolitan part of Chicago that's a delight to wander. The Chicago History Museum showcases vintage Americana, and then of course there's the park itself. Facing Lake Michigan, it offers beaches, wildlife trails and Lincoln Park Zoo, where you can see gorillas and polar bears free of charge.
A quaint suburb embodying the traditional charm of old-time America, Lombard is a far cry from the urban sprawl of the inner-city Chicago. It's known for its annual Lilac Festival and parade, and for the "Little Orphan Annie" house, where the red-headed character was dreamt up by Harold Gray. The nearby village of Oak Brook is even more idyllic, and known for its golf courses and polo club.
Forming part of the always bustling Michigan Avenue, Magnificent Mile is THE place to shop in Chicago. Swanky boutiques, upmarket department stores, and smart restaurants make it a must-visit, and landmarks to look out for include the epic Wrigley Building and the Chicago Water Tower, one of the few structures to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. The nearby River North district is famed for its many art galleries.
Home to the Civic Opera House, the Goodman Theater, and the Art Institute of Chicago, where American masterpieces can be found alongside Old Masters, the Loop is worth visiting just for the streets alone. Look up at some of the USA's most celebrated skyscrapers and the elevated trains hurtling along the "L", and then there's Grant Park – a gorgeously landscaped expanse with the huge Buckingham Fountain at its center.

It was the best Hotel of our trip. We stayed at Hotels all over America and this was the best. It is right by a corner bakery for a good breakfast and close to other restaurants as well as the train station.
This hotel is in the perfect place if you want to be in the middle of town
Parking was $56 and Internet $15 unless you used it in the lobby then it was free
I booked breakfast included in the price and I think that was worth it
The food and service was very good

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Dana - it was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and it was very conveniently situated. I arrived before 10am and there were no rooms available at that time, but the front desk offered me the use of the Spa so that I could freshen up and they stored my bags while I went out to explore the city. I was very impressed.

We enjoyed our stay at the Allerton. We were upgraded for free to a bigger room. Room has a great location, price, clean and modern. Hotel staff was very friendly. Nothing bad to say about this hotel. We only had to wait the one morning for 15minutes for the lift, as it was peak time and all elevators was in full use/either to full to enter. Complementary coffee in morning also great. Would suggest the free wifi to be expanded to the rooms.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel as such, just small rooms, and a very different buffet breakfast than hotels in South Africa. We also struggled to get used to using disposable crockery & cutlery. Very weird for us, as our hotels back home are much more 'sophisticated'. That said, the staff were very friendly, and on the ball with whatever we required. Check in and out was quick and easy and everyone was helpful. Our room was cleaned daily, and we'd definitely recommend this hotel as it was so conveniently located, (we walked wherever we wanted to go) and taxis were always on call. Overall, a good, pleasant experience! Thank you Holiday Inn Express!

The hotel was very neat and clean. The staff were very helpful and the service was fantastic. There were unfortunately not a lot to do after hours in the vacinity of the hotel as it is situated in the business district where most of the places close very early.
